(My Good Food on January 23, 2014)
Psalm 94:18-19
When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your love, O LORD, supported me.
When anxiety was great within me,
your consolation brought joy to my soul.
Depression and anxiety are states of low mood and aversion to activity. This may mean a loss of pleasure over an activity one has been doing.
‘When anxiety is great within me, Your ever greatest consolation brings so much joy to my soul’.
Joy comes when we entrust our feelings and emotions to our Creator. While it is the most powerful tool over this negative emotion, here’s a fact about bananas that can help us boost our emotional being.
Bananas
You’ve probably heard that bananas are high in potassium, which helps to control blood pressure and may fight depression. Bananas also contain tryptophan, a mood-lifter, and, because of their three natural sugars — sucrose, glucose and fructose — give an instant boost to flagging energy levels.
In addition, bananas contain considerable amounts of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium. The latter makes them of particular interest to athletes who use them to quickly replenish their electrolytes. Consumption of bananas is associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer and in women, breast cancer and renal cell carcinoma.

Happiness
I know I was angry – but I realized that the more I think how unfair the situation is, the more I sink in to the thoughts of madness. And the more I wanted to be understood, the more I am lead to being misunderstood.
Today, I realized that I must be motivated forward, plan and think forward, and even if I must fail, I must fail forward – thus this should let me love forward without thinking of the past hurts. I was created as I am, not because I should be dependent to other people. I am not a support. I am who I should become because of His will and plans for my life.
As the saying goes today, people are seeking happiness and fulfillment – if they are not in your way of happiness, that doesn’t mean you are lost. Happiness should be grown under your feet and not on the way of others. Happiness is the art of creating your own joy. It comes from within and you can only share when you are capable of producing your own one.
Love is never self-seeking. We love not we wish to, but as we can. We don’t love to receive love but because we are created to love that should not ask in return. But we must also learn how to love ourselves first so we won’t lose tract of our real identity and happiness.
I must learn to let go of the things that won’t help me survive this life, or else I must change. If I can’t let go of the relationship, then I must change my attitude. If I can’t let go of the food I love to eat, I must learn how to burn them in exercises. Life is just a matter of perspective and motivation, and knowing God is the master that can control everything.
I must learn how to take things lightly so I don’t carry a burden of too much. I should learn how to cope up and be flexible to things so I won’t get hard times carrying grudges when things aren’t going my way.

Planned Abandonement
Laurie Beth Jones:
Planned abandonment means learning how and when to say no, as well as cultivating the discipline of saying no. Because we live in a day and age when opportunities are endless, and ‘acres of diamonds’ lay everywhere at our feet, we need to be able to understand what to pick up and what to put down.
Having too many choices can be just as paralyzing as having or no choice at all.
However, planned abandonment doesn’t mean walking away from something that is difficult or isn’t working anymore. It means choosing between good and great, between better and best, saying no to all that glitters and discern what truly shines.
Jesus understood this and demonstrated it when he put down the hammer in the carpenter shop and picked up his walking stick. Being a carpenter was something he did very well, but there was something higher and more unique that he could do better than anyone else. He went toward that ‘occupation’, and the world was forever changed.
When Mary choose to leave her kitchen duties in favor of listening to Jesus, she was praised for her planned abandonment. Luke 10:42

Dear Lord
Photo taken at UBELT 3rd Anniversary (more here)
Dear Lord, this pain inside me tears me apart
And Lord, the more it hurts, the harder my heart
Oh, in my darkest hour
Your love comes shining through
Your word is true and You make all things new
And I know You're all I need
And You say You're here and You calm my fears
And I know You'll never leave, You'll never leave
Dear Lord, my heart is breaking, breaking in two
And Lord, my spirit's torn and crushed without You
Oh, in my darkest hour
Your love comes shining through
And Your word is true and You make all things new
And I know You're all I need
And You say You're here and You calm my fears
And I know You'll never leave
Higher than the stars that shine
And deeper than the sea
Is my Savior's precious love
Your love has set me free, set me free
And Your word is true and You make all things new
And I know You're all I need
And You say You're here and You calm my fears
And I know You'll never leave, You'll never leave
You're by my side
You set me free
You set me free
Higher than the stars that shine
And deeper than the sea
Set me high, you set me high on eagles wings
[Incomprehensible]
You set me free
