Dubai Creek Photowalk

May 18, 2015 with JIL DXB Phototeam. It was holiday in Dubai and I was invited by some friends to have an early jog and photowalk slash street tour by the Creek. Using our phone, we were tasked to take black and white shots to be printed plus best shots we can take for Instagram. I had fun!

Running Ground in DXB

Running has been one of my outlets when I was trying to lose weight and help me with anxiety before. Far from the comfort zone where parks are everywhere and I could just run about anywhere in PH, I had a little adventure of finding a new place to run here in Dubai. Thank God for there's this parking lot near our place, about 5mins walk, where Kabayans run! The ground is near Reef Mall and Asiana Hotel, Salah Al Din Metro Station in Deira.

Running for me is an exercise, a discipline and a metaphor. It builds patience and character in a way that it push you to goals.

In 1 Cor 9:4 it says to run the to get the prize. What then is the price of running for me? Physically, it's for good health and maintaining a good weight. Spiritually, to obtain the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. It is to continue to finish line regardless how tired you are, how tempted to stop at mid-goal, to stop at frustration

At wit's end, I am greatly drawn to this passage:
1 Samuel 30:
David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.

You had me at hello, I had you at Dubai

After six months of hibernation from blogging, I was inspired to write again after reading some travel blogs. I'm now in Dubai, the farthest place so far, I have been on Earth! I never imagined before I could be here to find a work.

So the past years, well after that physical fitness phase, I've tried so many adventures in the Philippines til one day, a friend opened up the idea of visiting Dubai. I have a stable job in the Philippines then I woke up one day, I am already here! I've been a bum for three weeks til today, I am waiting for my employment visa before I exit to probably Oman for the tourist via be cancelled and my passport to be stamped with working Visa.

So that's just a brief blog. Hoping to write more soon here!
